DAY 126

Tropical Storm Philippe was unchanged in strength and pressure today. He is holding at 65 mph sustained with a pressure of 997 mb. His surface low did try to runaway earlier today, but the convection did work it's way back. Now the swirl at the surface is only half exposed. Philippe does remain tilted to the south tonight.

(Tropical Storm Philippe)
Philippe is running into a trough that will push him back to the east. The Hurricane Center is still forecasting Philippe to make a brief run at hurricane strength. There is a good chance that he will spend Thursday as a weak hurricane and then back to a tropical storm as he moves off the the northeast. Philippe is starting to make that turn now. He has slowed down to 7 mph, and is now heading WNW.
