DAY 44

A couple areas to watch out there, although neither are very promising for development of tropical cyclones. The first is Central America were the monsoon trough is still keeping surface pressures low as tropical waves move through. The Hurricane Center has circled this area again giving it a 10% chance of development.

The other area is off the coast of the southeast US. A storm system has quickly moved off into the Atlantic and it looks like it will leave its tail behind as forecast. Whether or not it develops into a new system is yet to be seen. Most likely it will not, despite the guidance from the Canadian Forecast Model.
